been a long week. we moved into our new upgraded storage premises this week - the extra space allows for improved viewing of our lovely pieces.
We have a stunning 5 page feature in the march edition of BBC Homes and Antiques magazine where we look at the history of swedish antique furniture.

been a while since i last wrote.we have found a wonderful selection of gustavian furniture, biedermeier tables, antique mirrors and several mora clocks.
they are coming over in mid feb - we have also had to take on larger storage facilities in hove to handle the increasing volume of sales. We have also gained a wide range of new clients for our bespoke furniture including a bedroom set ( bed, 2 armoires and mirror), desk, chest of drawers, dining table and more.

Just finished a shoot for BBC homes and antiques magazine with a great photographer who shot our furniture very sensitively. Its amazing how different photographers can bring out such a different vision of the same piece of furniture.
Found some very interesting new swedish antique pieces since we got married in december - it was an amazing occasion. You can see some pix of the incredible wedding dress at www.madeleinelee.co.uk
Anyway i digress - we found some lovely new mora clocks, a gustavian 2 seater sofa and carver chairs, some new gustavian chest of drawers, a few rocking chairs and various other interesting pieces.
We have been very busy with the bespoke orders to in January - i really enjoy the process of drawing up a unique design with a client helping them bring out their inner vision and creating a really satisfying and unique piece. in this world of 'reproduction' pieces, its nice to create something different and real that uses real old wood and real handcraftsmanship.
One of the things i'm passionate about is spreading the word about how beautiful and differnet antqiue swedish furniture is from both the rest of europe ( ie the ubiquitous french 'shabby chic') and the dull modern swedish reproductions that have flooded the market. Furniture should have life and soul to it - thats what makes it interesting- thats why the swedish gustavian, empire, karl johan, folk art and rococo styles are so visually enticing.
