Here we came up with a variation on a classic Gustavian design for a client who wanted a stylish and beautifully made bed bed that wasn’t too over the top. One that fitted nicely into the bedroom without overpowering the other swedish antique furniture they had bought from us.

We used wonderful antique pine to create a stunning and elegant design that really hit the spot for them from a design perspective and that was sized to fit their custom mattress.

We went through a number of iterations of the design to find the right balance between formal decoration and visual simplicity and handpainted the bespoke bed in Ecos organic non toxic paints for them
