More beautiful Swedish antique Loppis finds: lace and dolls……
If ever you are in Katrinholm, Sweden, you must take come time out to visit Helena Johansson at Augusta Antiko. She has a loppis in town and one in the countryside next to her house. Apart from being the most charming woman you could wish to meet, she has the most beautiful pieces and her selection of lace: wow! I could have bought up the whole shop. My husband of course will be glad to read that I didn’t. But it was with great willpower that I walked away with just a few items in my bag and not the whole car full.
She had a great selection of old dolls, vintage dress’s, antique table clothes and cusions and ribbons of every colour. This beautiful doll has her own bed.
I loved this bust too… it was once in a hat shop display hence the flat tilted head shape.
My next visit was to have cinnamon buns and coffee with my dear friend Inga lill, wife to the famous Ola, our business partner in Sweden. She live in the forest and the first thing as you arrive is to be greeted by their adorable springer spanial, Amanda … I couldnt resist to put my hat on her of course …..
Inga lill has the most fantastic collection of antique dolls. So she was kind enough to let me photograph them. I love to imagine who they once belonged to …. to admire their faded clothes, the detail in their accesseries, the quality of cloth compared to the material used upon dolls these days. But then of course it was all handmade …. handmade to last …

Beautiful Inga Lill …… I shall be back at christmas … she makes a fantastic dish of wild pig and we venture into the forest to cut down our christmas trees …. oh beautiful Sweden ..
