Stunning antique Mora Clock from Sweden, dated 1818, with beautiful handpainted detail and faux carving trompe l’oeil . A simply unique mora clock at approx 215cm with a nice clean face and a joy to behold.
The hand painted detail on the body and hood is exemplary.
The body has the usual wood movement and paint distressing common to a clock of this period.
The clock is sold ‘as is’ : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order – If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£195) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£295).
