Browse our collection of Art Deco furniture for sale, individually sourced in Sweden and selected for its design, craftsmanship, proportions and decorative character. Our current collection includes Swedish Art Deco armchairs, dining chairs, tables, desks, cabinets and other original period furniture.

Swedish Art Deco furniture developed during the early 20th century, particularly through the 1920s and 1930s, combining the cleaner architectural lines of Art Deco with Sweden’s tradition of fine cabinetmaking and restrained decoration. Many pieces feature beautifully figured birch, elm, walnut or mahogany, polished veneers, curved forms and carefully judged decorative detail.

We have specialised in Swedish antique furniture since 2005. Each piece is individually assessed for condition and construction, with measurements, additional photographs and video views available on request. Where appropriate, we can also arrange professional restoration, refinishing and reupholstery before delivery.

    What Makes Swedish Art Deco Furniture Distinctive?

    Swedish Art Deco offers a more restrained interpretation of the wider European Art Deco movement. Rather than relying on elaborate ornament, many Swedish pieces use elegant proportions, sculptural curves, fine veneers and the natural character of carefully selected timber.

    The style developed alongside Swedish Grace and the beginnings of Scandinavian modernism, which helps explain why original Swedish Art Deco furniture works so comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
